The professional internship of the Rector of Comrat State University Assoc. prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia took place from 06.05.2024 to 24.05.2024 in the inviting Universities of the Republic of Turkey:
- Isparta University of Applied Sciences (Republic of Turkey);
- Aksaray State University (Republic of Turkey);
- Sivas Cumhuriyet University (Republic of Turkey).
Within the framework of the business visit (including the implementation of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program), full of business meetings and events, the Rector of Comrat State University Assoc. prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia realized a significant list of tasks:
-extended the existing Memorandum of Understanding of Comrat State University with the University of Applied Sciences of Isparta (Republic of Turkey);
- concluded the Memorandum of Understanding of Comrat State University with Aksaray State University (Republic of Turkey);
- enriched professional skills and identified the best practices and strategies of the Universities of the Republic of Turkey in order to further implement them in the practice of Comrat State University;
- discussed the issues of increasing the number of places in doctoral studies and allocation of special places for the defense of doctoral works in the Republic of Turkey (Sivas Cumhuriyet University), young researchers of Comrat State University;
-discussed the strengthening of partnership relations in conducting joint scientific researches, participation in international grant programs supported by international funds;
- examined the perspectives of the project of organizing a summer school, within which students/masters and teachers will study Turkish language, as well as the history and culture of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Turkey for ten days (at Sivas Cumhuriyet University (Republic of Turkey));
-participated in programs of academic seminars, workshops, international research symposiums, visited research laboratories, technopark, etc.
On May 23, 2024, at Sivas Cumhuriyet University (Republic of Turkey), the Rector of the Comrat State University, Assoc. prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia spoke at the opening of the International Congress on Economics, Finance and Business (EFİ 2024). In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova, ATU Gagauzia and the Republic of Turkey, as well as the key role of the partnership between the Universities of the Republic of Turkey and Comrat State University in the directions of improving the quality of education, developing joint educational programs and concluding various partnership agreements: “Scientific research is of great importance for the modern world, especially for our scientific community. We train personnel for our region and state. Quality education, a worthy generation and promotion of scientific achievements in practical life are in the corner of our priorities,” said the Rector of the Comrat State University Assoc. prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia.
