On September 5, 2024, the rector of Comrat State University, Associate Professor, Dr., Serghei ZAHARIA, held a meeting with history researchers from Aksaray University (Republic of Turkey), who visited our university within the ERASMUS+ academic mobility program: Associate Professor, Dr. Selim Karagöz (research topic: "Turkish-Scandinavian relations in Eastern Europe in the 9th-11th centuries"); Professor, Dr. Necmettin Aygün; Associate Professor, Dr. Osman Okumuş. The friendly visit to UTA Gagauzia was facilitated by the State University of Moldova, where the history researchers are undergoing academic training. During the visit, the professors from the Republic of Turkey became acquainted with the functional and structural units of Comrat State University, visited the music museum, met with faculty and students, and toured the historical and cultural sights of UTA Gagauzia. The leadership of Comrat State University and the researchers from Aksaray University expressed a mutual desire to continue cooperation in research projects on the history and civilization of our countries and the region. The Rector of Comrat State University, Associate Professor, Dr., Serghei ZAHARIA, noted that such meetings contribute to strengthening academic ties and expanding the horizons of scientific cooperation. The administration of Comrat State University thanks the guests from Aksaray University for their visit, the State University of Moldova for organizing the meeting, and highly appreciates the contribution of the ERASMUS+ program to the development of international academic exchange. We look forward to further cooperation and new joint projects that will contribute to deepening mutual understanding and scientific progress among researchers from Turkic world countries.
