On November 14, 2024, Comrat State University hosted ceremonial events dedicated to Day of Initiation of First-Year Students into Students and International Students' Day, celebrated annually on November 17. This significant occasion marked a bright start to the academic journey for new students, creating an atmosphere of unity and motivation.
The event was opened by the Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. Prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia, and the Mayor of Comrat Municipality Serghei Anastasov, who extended warm congratulations and best wishes to the freshmen. Following tradition, the university's Rector symbolically handed over the Key of Knowledge to one of the freshmen, emphasizing the importance of striving for knowledge and academic success. Additionally, the first student documents—grade books—were presented, marking the first step into university life for each freshman. During the event, students and postgraduates from all years were awarded for their achievements in various fields. The best were recognized in the following categories:
- Active participation in the social life of the faculty and university;
- High achievements in academic and research activities;
- Active involvement in organizing and conducting cultural events, demonstrating creativity and artistic talent;
- Best team of CSU, showing perseverance in achieving outstanding results in student and youth events.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by artistic performances prepared by students and their mentors from the Department of Culture and Arts. The audience enjoyed creative acts that showcased the students' diverse talents and dedication to personal development. Additionally, the CSU Student Council presented a video on behavioral guidelines for freshmen and organized a symbolic lottery in a humorous format, adding a touch of fun and camaraderie to the event.
The celebration became a memorable occasion in the life of Comrat State University, bringing together students and faculty while energizing all participants for future achievements!
