On February 12, 2026, the ceremonial opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Science. Education. Culture”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Comrat State University, took place in the assembly hall of the university.

The event brought together professors, researchers, students, master’s and doctoral students, as well as honorary guests and university partners from the Republic of Moldova and foreign educational and scientific institutions. The conference became an important part of the anniversary celebrations, uniting the academic community around the development of education, science and intercultural dialogue.

The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Moldova, the anthem of ATU Gagauzia, the student anthem Gaudeamus Igitur and the university anthem, highlighting academic traditions and continuity between generations.

The Rector of the university, Doctor, Associate Professor Serghei Zaharia, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of the conference for strengthening scientific cooperation, exchanging experience and expanding the university’s international relations. In their speeches, the guests congratulated the CSU community on the anniversary and noted the university’s contribution to the development of regional education and science.

During the ceremony, professors and staff members were awarded honorary diplomas and letters of appreciation for many years of dedicated work, professionalism and contribution to the development of CSU.

The festive atmosphere was complemented by a concert program prepared by creative groups and university partners. The opening concluded with a collective commemorative photo symbolizing the unity of the academic community and the continuation of university traditions.

The conference confirmed CSU’s role as a scientific and educational center of the region and became another step in developing international academic cooperation in the year of the university’s 35th anniversary.
