As part of the implementation of the international project ERASMUS+ UNI HEALTH – Academic partnership for health improvement of youth with health disorders and special needs, a training session on the topic of healthy nutrition was conducted with students from the target group of Comrat State University.
According to the planned activities of the ERASMUS+ UNI HEALTH international project – Academic partnership for health improvement of youth with health disorders and special needs, on April 16 a training on healthy nutrition was held with students from the project’s target group. The session was prepared and conducted by Assoc. Prof., PhD Oxana Curteva, project coordinator, and Natalia Shatkovskaia, fitness trainer and nutritionist. In line with the project idea, experts were involved in conducting the training, including specialists in nutrition. During the training, students gained practical knowledge about the basics of balanced nutrition and the importance of essential nutrients in the diet. A special questionnaire allowed the participants to assess the functioning of their bodily systems. Measurements and calculations were also carried out using the Tanita analyzer to determine the body’s composition of water, muscle mass, fat, and bone tissue. Natalia Shatkovskaia interpreted the data and gave individual recommendations to each student. The event concluded with a tea party and tasting of homemade healthy desserts (prepared by Oxana Curteva). Participants were invited to guess the ingredients of each dessert and match them to the recipe. We thank Natalia Shatkovskaia for her contribution to the implementation of the project’s goals. We wish the students to apply the specialist’s advice and maintain a healthy and balanced diet!
