
In accordance with the Research Activity Plan, on April 23, 2026, the Faculty of National Culture hosted the Student Scientific-Practical Conference with international participation “The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists. Student Research–2026,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Comrat State University. The conference was held in a mixed format, both online and offline. The event program, which also included a конкурс selection of the best research papers and their presentations, comprised a plenary session, work in five sections, summing up the results, and awarding the winning students.
The plenary part of the conference was moderated by Oksana Victorovna Curteva, Doctor, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of National Culture, and by second-cycle master’s student Victoria Cioban (group MOM-24). As part of the opening ceremony, welcoming remarks were delivered by the university administration and honorary guests. Greetings to the participants were addressed by Kyamalya Umudova, Doctor, Associate Professor of Baku Slavic University (Azerbaijan), and Angela Curacițchi, Doctor, Associate Professor of “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University of Chișinău.
The plenary session gained additional significance through the participation of the conference’s distinguished guests. The participants were also welcomed by Natalia Mazurenco, Deputy Director for Educational Work of Mihail Ciachir College, Valentina Nevzorova, representing Taraclia State University, as well as representatives of the State University of Moldova (Chișinău). Their speeches emphasized the importance of academic partnership, the expansion of interuniversity ties, and support for student research initiatives.
The conference brought together students and master’s students from 20 educational institutions in Moldova and abroad. The program included participants from state universities in 10 countries: Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, and Bulgaria, as well as from Mihail Ciachir College in Comrat.
The conference work was organized in five sections devoted to current issues of early education, general education, modern Romance, Gagauz, and Turkic philology, Germanic and Slavic philology, as well as music education. Such a broad thematic scope enabled participants to present research findings in pedagogy, philology, the digital transformation of education, inclusive practice, intercultural communication, and music-pedagogical training.
During the section meetings, students presented research devoted to modern educational technologies, teacher training, the development of communicative and research competencies, problems of philological analysis, language and literary education, as well as scientific-practical aspects of music education. The discussion of the papers took place in an atmosphere of academic interest, professional dialogue, and active exchange of opinions.
At the end of the section work, the conference results were summarized, and 13 winning students who presented reports based on the best research findings were awarded. The event became a significant occurrence in the scientific life of the university, confirming the important role of student research in the professional development of future specialists and in strengthening international academic cooperation.
