WP 2: Development
Task 2.2: Study tours aimed to learning of EU experience in the development of clusters and the participation of HEIs in this activity;
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project UniClaD ("Enhancing capacity of universities to initiate and to participate in clusters development on innovation and sustainability principles ") a series of study tours to EU countries are carried out with the aim to support the consortium partners in the development of agrofood clusters in #Moldova, #Ukraine and #Azerbaijan.
From April 03 to 07, 2023, a study tour was conducted in Kaunas, Lithuania,
organized by the Kauno Kolegija Higher Education Institution.
During this week the Moldovan and Azerbaijani participants got insight into various Lithuania clusters. The diverse program included theoretical and practical experiences. Visit at the Business centre of KK HEI. Visit and session at Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (National Food Cluster Lithuania). Visit at the Agrokoncernas Group. Session No. 1 “Experience of clusters in Lithuania” - Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė - head of the Lithuanian Cluster Network. Session No. 2 “AgriFood Lithuania DIH” - Alina Laukienė Sales and Marketing manager – Xplicity. Visit and session at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy. Visit to Tomas Dirmeikis farm. In the final workshop the participants reflected on their important experiences during the study tour and the insights that could be transferred to Moldova and Azerbaijan.
