Mitrofan Elena, a fourth-year student of the specialty 0114.10 Foreign Languages (English and German), shared her impressions of the exchange experience under the Erasmus + Student Mobility for Studying program. The exchange of experience took place in the city of Sivas, the Republic of Turkey. The study period lasted from February 21, 2022 to July 20, 2022, the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.
On the 8th of November, 2022 at the meeting with students of the Department of Foreign Languages, Elena spoke about how to participate in the exchange program, how student life and life in general are organized, what you need to prepare for in order to understand local students, and which Turkish cities you should definitely visit while in Turkey.
According to Elena Mitrofan, such an experience of studying and living abroad was extremely valuable and useful for her. She considers that this is not only an improvement in language skills, but also an acquaintance with a different way of life, a different culture, and approaches to learning. This is a rethinking of your plans and goals, the realization of how great and interesting the world is. Participation in student exchange programs provides an excellent opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world, learn about their life, worldview, spend time together and become friends. Elena believes that the relationships between universities in different countries should be developed and strengthened. This will have a beneficial effect both on the quality of education, as a result of the exchange of experience, and on international relations in the world in the future.
