Today, August 28, 2026, in Comrat, ATU Gagauzia, the “Maluri de Prut” Association and Comrat State University signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at jointly contributing to the development and promotion of local and regional tourism.

The Agreement was signed by the Rector of Comrat State University, Associate Professor, PhD Serghei ZAHARIA, and the President of the “Maluri de Prut” Association, PhD Candidate Mihai CREȚU, marking the beginning of a partnership designed to generate concrete projects and initiatives for the benefit of local communities.

The partnership is based on a shared commitment to better preserve, promote and capitalize on the cultural, historical and ethnographic heritage of the Republic of Moldova, transforming this heritage into a resource for community development and the promotion of tourism destinations.

Under this Agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in the following areas:

? organizing cultural and tourism events;
? developing research programs;
? providing practical training opportunities for young people and students;
? exchanging experience and best practices;
? implementing joint projects in tourism, education, culture and research;
? promoting local and regional tourism destinations.

Comrat State University brings academic expertise, research potential and the energy of the younger generation to this partnership, while the “Maluri de Prut” Association contributes its experience in promoting heritage, tourism and cultural values.

We believe that heritage should not only be preserved, but also discovered, promoted, sustainably valued and passed on to future generations.

This Agreement represents an important step towards developing concrete projects that will highlight the beauty, history and cultural diversity of our regions.
