On April 15, 2022, the Department of Accounting and Finance conducted a Quest game in financial disciplines and accounting with 1-3 year students of the specialties “Finance and Banking”, “Accounting”, “Business and Management” and applicants. The participants were greeted with a welcoming speech by the rector of Comrat State University, doctor, conferencer Zaharia S.K. and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor, Conference Chair L.P. Todorich, noting that the quest is a new format for organizing leisure time for students and applicants, which is a game based on brainstorming.
All participants were divided into three teams, which, based on the results of drawing lots in the form of riddles, chose the colors of their scarves in the colors of the flag of the Republic of Moldova. Next, each team had to come up with a name and choose a captain.
The quest tasks were designed for knowledge of the economy in general, banking, statistics, taxation, accounting and financial and economic analysis. Participants had to solve riddles, puzzles, tests and crosswords. The teams received a sheet with the hidden stations from the hands of the organizer, the head of the department of “Accounting and Finance” Sviridenko L.A. In accordance with the rules of the quest, at each station, participants received tasks from members of the department and employees of the dean’s office, the solution of which awarded points and gave them the opportunity to find the next station. Compliance with the rules was monitored by a jury consisting of teachers from the Department of Accounting and Finance.
As a result, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place team “Golden Reserve”, captain Dimitroglo Anna;
2nd place team “Plusy”, captain Andrey Vatamanyuk;
3rd place team “Balance to Zero”, captain Bargan Kirill.
The winners of the Quest were awarded diplomas of 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree, with the financial support of the administration of Comrat State University - the teams were awarded cups and cash prizes. I would like to express special gratitude to Vyacheslav Dudush, director of SRL Mellang&Compani, for his help in organizing a coffee break for the Quest participants.
Quest participants noted that the innovative form of the Quest game, namely the application of the principle of competitiveness and competition, increases interest in mastering knowledge in disciplines and contributes to the development of intelligence and ingenuity. Bringing together representatives from all participating groups and applicants in each team leads to stronger team spirit and unification of the faculty as a whole.
Congratulations to the winners and wish all participants new victories!
