At Comrat State University, a scientific-practical seminar on the topic: "Legal Protection and Professional Ethics" was held at the Faculty of Law

On October 18, 2024, a scientific-practical seminar was held at the Faculty of Law of Comrat State University, organized by the Head of the Department of Private Law, Dr., Assoc. prof. Olga Tatar, together with second-year law students.

During the seminar, students presented reports discussing the specifics of legal protection and the professional activities of judges, prosecutors, and investigators. Special attention was paid to the fact that the actions and decisions of these officials directly affect the fundamental rights and interests of citizens, and therefore, their activities must comply with high moral standards and principles. Participants noted that the relationship between legal and moral principles should be an integral part of a lawyer’s work. Comrat State University law students emphasized that deviations from the law, its circumvention, or distorted interpretation are essentially immoral actions. These issues may arise due to a lack of professional knowledge and an unwillingness to continuously improve. The principle of independence and adherence only to the law was named a key aspect in the work of justice bodies.

Thus, during the seminar, it was established that legal protection and professional ethics of a lawyer are based on the interconnection of legal and moral norms. The formation of a lawyer's ethics requires the constant improvement of legal knowledge and adherence to both legal and moral principles. The seminar was held at a high level, contributing to the students' deep understanding of the importance of professional ethics in legal practice.
