From May 15 to 21, 2022, PhD. Assoc. Professor Tatiana Velicova, the Department of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Physics of Comrat State University. She took part in the mobility program at the A. I. Cuza, Romania University (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, România). Mobility programs make it possible to get experience at a partner university.
She takes into consideration the fact that it was an important experience that helped to find out about the Yasian University named after A.I. Cuza, and in the future to decide to submit documents already by mobility for teachers in 2019. She participated in the competition twice: in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, as it turned out later, there was no quota for Comrat State University for academic staff and students. In 2019, there was an announcement of the competition at the CSU website .
A package of documents for participation in the mobility program included CV, a motivation letter, a letter of confirmation of employment at the university, a scan of a passport, it was also necessary to attach a letter-confirm that the corresponding faculty were ready to accept (thanks to the previously established cooperation under the Tempus Crunt program, a doctor of Engineering Sciences, Adrian Adăscăliței, this invitation was received). Due to Covid-19 situation, T. Velicova received a letter that the terms for the implementation of mobility programs of the 2019-2020 academic year are shifted to a more favorable period. In August 2021, it was reported that the program was resuming and her participation in the mobility program became possible.
Classes were scheduled for the period from May 16 - 20, 2022. She conducted them with first -year students, II Training Cycle, specialty - "Administrarea AFACERILOR/Business Administration". Best Practices for Effective Team Collaboration in Digital Workspace" was interested in students. Students were active, asked questions, took part in Brainstorming organized in Tricider. In the group, as it turned out, students from Moldova are also studying. The language of teaching was Romanian, and presentations were presented in English.
Students were positively configured, asked questions on the topic, discussed training with us, at Comrat State University, and the educational resources used, asked questions about how they organized training during Covid-19 period. Living communication, a friendly atmosphere contributed to the fact that a lot of things managed and compared the experience of Moldova in Romania.
As a result, participating in this mobility program Comrat State University collaborates with International Office Erasmus+: Alina Mihaela MALANCIUC (Erasmus+ Office, International Relations Office) and the representative of International Office from the faculty - Dorina MOISA (International Relations Office, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration).
Tatiana Velicova visited the university library located in the building of Building B, studied the literature in computer science, established cooperation with the library of the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, România, which contributed to the improvement of the didactic base in the taught disciplines (the librarian Elena Chiaburu tucked her up and sent her by email, electronic variants of educational and methodological manuals). In the electronic versions of books, the signature of Velicova Tatiana (UZ Personal) is inserted for personal use. As told in the library, during the period of Covid-19 began to be engaged in digitizing educational literature. Of course, this experience will be useful to Comrat State University, but its implementation is impossible without specialized scanners that allow this process to carry out efficiently and quickly. For her part, she shared how the educational and methodological manuals are available to students and academic staff, and how the guests can access the electronic options for the work.
As part of participation in the mobility program, she visited the University Museum. As it was found, mobility participants are frequent guests of the museum. The museum exhibits were interested, as well as the division of the museum into several thematic zones, one of which is the natural sciences in which the technical equipment exhibits are located: computer technology that was used by the university in a different period - 1974, 1990, and others; equipment in chemistry, physics, etc.
As part of the mobility program, she learned about the activities of the international office Erasmus+, its tasks, and programs that are implemented for students. During her stay at the university under the mobility program, there was a lecturer of foreign languages from Albania.
The university has a souvenir store that surprises the variety of goods. Participants in mobility programs (students, teachers) and other guests can purchase souvenirs with the university logo, faculties, notebooks, bags, key chains, etc. Having paid in cash or card.
The university has a student cafe Erasmus +, which was created as part of one of the Erasmus projects. The idea is interesting, the design solution has the fact that students and teachers participate in mobility programs as well as relax in the cafe. The cafe has information on various Erasmus programs. Prices for students are reduced, so many students have always been observed in the cafe.
There was an opportunity to discuss with the representative of the international office Erasmus+ and the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the city of Iassi. It was recommended to visit the Palace of Culture, the Botanical Garden in Iassi. The city was struck by its diversity. In the Palace of Culture, guests are offered to visit the Museum of Science and Technology named after Stefan Prokopiu, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Museum of Arts. The Museum of Science and Technology named after Stefan Prokopiu has a huge number of rare musical instruments, radio engineering exhibits, writing machines, and a 1989 supercomputer. Of particular interest was the information panel in the Museum of Arts, which informs about projects that allowed special models for people with disabilities. In the parks of Iassi, one can not only relax, but also see the busts of great writers, the natural monument to Iassi - Lipa Eminescu.
Tatiana Velicova expressed her gratitude to the rector of CSU, Serghei Zaharia, for his assistance, timely signing of all the necessary documents for her successful participation in the mobility program. The report on participation in the mobility program was prepared and sent to the international office of Comrat State University.
Participation in the mobility program was positive in both professional and cultural aspects. It gave language practice and strengthened the realization that the professional direction was chosen correctly, she really likes what she does and mobility programs is an invaluable experience that cannot be fully conveyed, but this publication is aimed at spreading the experience gained and contributing. So that the representatives of the academic staff of the Comrat State University become even more open to participating in Erasmus+ mobility programs, together we can do more!
