Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ teaching staff mobility project, thelecturer of the Agro-Technological Faculty of KDU Dr. Cartasev Anatoli graduated from the study program at BOLU ABANT IZZET BAISAL UNIVERSITY, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Food Engineering from April 3 to April 7, 2023.
The objectives of the study mobility were to acquire knowledge and experience in food engineering, food technology, food microbiology and food fermentation in order to plan future cooperation between the host and sending universities through the study program.
Trainings were held in the following areas:
- Probiotic bacteria and bacteriophages;
- Nutritional yeast and nutritional fermentation course
- Methods for identification of bacteria and yeasts
- Research products by nuclear magnetic resonance
- Isolation of bacterial DNA and PCR analysis
- MALDI-TOF protein analysis
- Chromatographic analysis of fruits and vegetables
- Analysis of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity
- Analysis of dairy products and sourdough
- Types and technologies of Turkish cheese production
Research was carried out in the laboratories of the Department of Food Engineering, as well as in the BETUM Research Center.
In addition to the research program, acquaintance with the culture and traditions of the Republic of Turkey was carried out.
Participation in the mobility program made it possible to build new professional and friendly contacts, thanks to which it became possible to work on joint research projects for the benefit of the two countries.
