As part of the Erasmus+ international academic program, Eduard Dușcov, a student at Comrat State University, completed an academic and cultural internship at the Turkish Music State Conservatory of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University from February 17 to June 20, 2025 (Niğde, Turkey).
The internship included several key components:
Academic process and professional development:
The program involved individual lessons with professors, ensemble and orchestral practice, and participation in the “Türk Müzik Günleri” masterclasses, where students learned from renowned Turkish musicians and educators. The educational process was well-structured and focused on stage and interpretative performance skills.
Familiarization with Turkish musical tradition:
Special emphasis was placed on both theoretical and practical understanding of the traditional Turkish makam system, its characteristic tonal modes, and microtonal nuances. This experience significantly broadened the student’s musical outlook and intercultural understanding.
Concert activity:
Eduard performed in concerts such as Yeşilçam Konseri and Çanakkale Konseri, presenting elements of Gagauz musical heritage and academic repertoire — contributing to cultural exchange through music.
Participation in the international symposium “Kökümüz Bir Türküz”:
The symposium gathered delegations from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Gagauzia. Eduard presented Moldovan and Gagauz music, contributing to the development of Turkic cultural unity.
Cultural and educational initiative:
Eduard organized a presentation at Halil İlçe Library for 6th grade students about the history and culture of the Gagauz people, ending with a live performance of a Gagauz folk song.
The Erasmus+ experience became a meaningful stage in both professional and personal growth, enriching the student’s academic and cultural perspective and strengthening international collaboration.
