The Lecturer from Comrat State University Participated in the Erasmus+ Program at Powiślański University, Poland

From May 21 to 25, 2025, Natalia Șciukina, Doctor Habilitat, Associate Professor at the Department of Private Law, Faculty of Law, Comrat State University, took part in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program at Powiślański University in Kwidzyn, Poland.

The visit program included a rich academic, professional, and cultural agenda. On the first day, participants were warmly welcomed by Dr. Katarzyna Strzała-Osuch, Rector of Powiślański University and Professor at PSW. The university’s International Office staff presented the internationalization strategy and key directions of international cooperation. Participants engaged in practical sessions, including basic Polish language workshops and a quiz on Polish culture and history — an excellent opportunity for intercultural adaptation and team-building. Particular attention during the visit was devoted to international partnerships. During meetings with representatives from universities in Türkiye, Uruguay, Panama, and Albania, fruitful discussions were held on expanding academic cooperation, developing joint research projects, and strengthening collaboration within Erasmus+.

As part of her teaching activity, Dr. Habil. Natalia Șciukina delivered a series of lectures for Powiślański University students on the following topics:

  • “International Social Law: Actual Perspectives and Trends”,
  • “Globalization and Its Impact on Labor”,
  • “Social Protection and Welfare Systems”,
  • “International Human Rights and Labor Law”.

The CSU lecturer also participated in the XII International Scientific Conference “Faces of Prosperity” held at Powiślański University, delivering presentations in plenary and breakout sessions and receiving a participant certificate. Especially notable was the block of team seminars and training sessions focused on motivation, time management, conflict resolution in organizations, and global values in scientific research. These events provided a platform for experience exchange and strengthening professional ties among educators from different countries. As part of the cultural program, participants visited Malbork Castle – the largest brick castle in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They explored the history of the Teutonic Order, viewed exhibitions of medieval weapons, stained glass, and amber artifacts, and enjoyed panoramic views of the Nogat River from the castle towers.

Participation in such programs strengthens academic mobility, broadens the horizons of international cooperation, and enhances the quality of education through the exchange of best practices and scientific approaches. Comrat State University expresses sincere gratitude to Powiślański University for the warm welcome, excellent organization, openness to cooperation, and commitment to developing sustainable academic partnerships.
