Comrat State University took part in the 3rd training within the REFLECT Phase II project - "Quality learning through the peer-to-peer system in the Republic of Moldova"

The working team of Comrat State University (CSU) participated, on January 30-31, 2024, in the 3rd training within the REFLECT Phase II project - "Quality Learning through Peer to Peer System in the Republic of Moldova". The event was organized within the framework program of the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development, under the aegis of the project "Promoting Active Civic Education" (FACE) in Moldova, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Council of Europe and the United Nations Population Fund in the Republic of Moldova. The training activity was facilitated by professors from the Pedagogical University of Zurich - Dr. Corinna Borer, Prof., Dr. Wiltrud Weidinger and Dr. Rolf Gollob. The event started with a detailed presentation of the activities carried out by the five participating universities during the fall semester. Dean of the Faculty of National Culture of CSU Assoc. prof., PhD Oxana Curteva presented in detail the steps taken by the CSU team in the project, highlighting the impact of the training sessions on the changes in perspective on mutual visits, class attendance, observation and giving constructive feedback. The training workshops included a series of interactive activities based on observation and giving feedback. The trainers presented concrete suggestions for the integration of REFLECT elements into the university curriculum, in terms of modules, their structure and form. Teachers from USC collaborated on a detailed project implementation plan and exchanged ideas and experiences with colleagues from the four university teams co-participating in the project. Thus, it is planned to introduce REFLECT elements in an unfunctional and/or modular way not only in the curricula of teaching subjects (such as Didactics of Intercultural, Romanian Language and Literature, Physics, Geography), but also in the curricula of other specialized subjects such as Chemical Experiment in School, Communication Psychology, Pedagogy and Complementary Education. These elements will be implemented in both undergraduate and continuing education courses. The event ended with the launching of immediate tasks and the presentation of future perspectives, indicating a promising direction for the evolution of education in the Republic of Moldova, based on constructive feedback and continuous reflection on the teaching process. Active participation and inter-university collaboration strengthened efforts for quality learning relevant to the current needs and challenges of the education system.
