On November 6, 2024, in accordance with the plan of implementation of the international project Reflect Phase II - Quality learning through the peer-to-peer system in the Republic of Moldova”, organized within the framework program of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, “Promoting active civic education” (FACE) in Moldova, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Council of Europe, and the United Nations Population Fund in the Republic of Moldova., the project managers visited Comrat State University on a working visit: Dr. Corinna Borer, Centre for Teaching and Transcultural Learning, Zurich, Prof. Dr. Wiltrud Weidinger Meiste, Centre for Teaching and Transcultural Learning, Zurich, Marin Dolintsa, Project Manager in Moldova.
The delegation representatives met with the Rector of Comrat State University Zaharia Serghei, PhD, Associate Professor. During the meeting, the intermediate results of the project implementation were presented, and the immediate goals for 2025 were outlined. In a conversation with the guests, the Rector spoke about the university, emphasized the importance of training personnel for the region and Moldova as a whole, familiarized the guests with the prospects of development of research, educational and methodological activities of the university faculties, and thanked for the cooperation and the opportunity to involve the university in the educational project. Next, the guests were given a tour of the university, followed by a meeting with the project team.
During the dialogue between the coordinators and the representatives of the project team, the results of the previous stage of the project implementation, the results of piloting in training sessions with students and visiting classes by university lecturers - members of the project group were summarized. They also discussed the details of the further implementation of project plans related to the formation of two target groups (university lecturers involved in the preparation of future teachers and inspectors of the General Education Department of the UTA Gagauzia, Taraclia, Basarabeasca districts), with whom training sessions will be held to familiarize with the methodology of REFLECT Phase II elements and the features of non-evaluative observation of the educational process.
