During the period from 24 to 26 January 2024, members of the QFORTE – Erasmus+ project team “Enhancement of Quality Assurance in Higher Education System in Moldova (ref. No: 618742-EPP-1-2020-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP) from Comrat State University, together with representatives of universities - partners of Moldova, took part in a workshop, which was held at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).
Comrat State University was represented by the rector, Dr., assoc. prof. Serghei Zaharia, project coordinator, Dr., assoc. prof. Tatiana RaCovchena, head of the Department of Quality Management of CSU Natalia Nachoglo and the member of the team of project Dr., assoc. prof. Nadejda Ianioglo.
The first day of the visit was devoted to analyzing the results of international accreditation of Moldovan universities and measures to ensure the quality of higher education. Universities of the Republic of Moldova presented Corrective Action Plans developed based on the results of international institutional accreditation, problems encountered during the institutional assessment process and lessons learned were also discussed.
On the second day of the working meeting, colleagues from European universities presented their experience in the field of institutional quality assurance and institutional accreditation. The quality assurance systems of such universities as: University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, University of Primorska, University of Nova Gorica, University of Münster were presented and analyzed.
On the last day of the visit, the University of Ljubljana organized workshops where institutions expressed their views on standards and guidelines for internal quality assurance (ESG1) and external quality assurance (ESG2), addressing aspects such as quality assurance policies, student-centred learning, teaching and assessment, academic staff, learning resources and student support.
