Results of the session "Romance-Germanic and Slavic Philology: Current Issues in Linguistics, Language Teaching, and Literary Studies"

On April 8, 2025, at the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University, within the framework of the student scientific-practical conference "The Role of Education in Training Competitive Specialists. Student Research – 2025", session No. 3 titled "Romance-Germanic and Slavic Philology: Current Issues in Linguistics, Language Teaching, and Literary Studies" was held. The event was attended by undergraduate and graduate students from Moldova, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, who presented research in the fields of linguistics, foreign language teaching methodology, intercultural communication, and literary studies. A total of 17 presentations were submitted, of which 11 were successfully delivered both in person and online.

The topics of the presentations covered a wide range of current areas:

  • research in literature, literary motifs, and genre features,
  • linguistic studies, analysis of language structures and their functioning in different language systems,
  • cultural studies,
  • psychological and pedagogical aspects of language teaching,
  • innovative methods and game-based technologies in education,
  • the influence of digital technologies on language evolution.

A notable feature of the session was the active involvement of students not only as speakers but also as organizers and moderators. One of the co-hosts of the session was Semion Marangoz, a student of group AN-23, which served as a vivid example of a practice-oriented approach to training future specialists. The scientific supervision and support were provided by Doctor of Philology, lecturer Olga Șciuchina. The organizing committee for session No. 3 was represented by Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Prascovia Nikolaeva, university assistant Tatiana Todorici, and students of group AN-24 from the same department, Daria Zaharia and Olga Bratan.

As part of the conference, a competition for the best presentations was held, and the winners of session No. 3 were announced:

  • among first-cycle (undergraduate) students – Anastasia Novak, group RA-24 (scientific advisor: Larisa Boicova, Assoc. Prof., PhD);
  • among second-cycle (master's) students – Alena Kapsamun, group MGYA-24 (scientific advisor: Tatiana Sandu, Assoc. Prof., PhD).

The winners received certificates and commemorative prizes in recognition of their scientific contributions and active participation in the conference. The session was held in an academically rich and friendly atmosphere that fostered the development of students' scientific potential and intercultural dialogue. A collection of conference materials will be published as a result. We thank all participants and organizers for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the conference. We are confident that the knowledge gained and the exchange of experience will serve as a foundation for further scientific research.
