The Scientific Library of Comrat State University showcased the potential of electronic information resources for use in the educational process and research activities

An informational seminar titled "Electronic Information Resources of the Scientific Library of Comrat State University for Scientific and Educational Processes. Prerequisites for Successful Scientific Publication" was held at the Scientific Library of Comrat State University. The seminar took place in the library's reading room on November 28, 2024. Presentations were delivered by Vitali Chiurcciu, Assist. lecturer at the "Accounting and Finance" department; Natalia Garchu, chief bibliographer of the scientific library; Anna Chiosea, chief librarian of the scientific library; and Janna Garcheva, head of the CSU scientific library. The seminar addressed topics such as introducing students and faculty to the information resources of the CSU scientific library that support scientific and educational processes, conditions for successfully drafting and presenting research in the scientific community, and international scientific databases accessible to the university through the REM Consortium. Key aspects of scientific publications and working with information resources were discussed. Vitali Chiurcciu highlighted the importance of ORCID and DOI identifiers in improving author visibility, protecting rights, and facilitating inter-platform communication. Natalia Garchu presented on the new Standards for bibliographic references introduced in Moldova in 2022 and demonstrated their application with examples. These materials are available on the СSU library website. Anna Chiosea showcased the scientific library’s resources, including the "Bulletin of New Arrivals" and the Electronic Library of Faculty Works, explaining their structure and search functionality. Janna Garcheva, emphasized the benefits of accessing international databases through СSU’s participation in the REM Consortium, granting access to 12 licensed databases. Links to these resources are available on the library’s website. Faculty members from all departments, third-year students from groups EF-22 and AIM-22, and staff from the International Relations and Quality departments attended the seminar. Participants gained insights into various scientific platforms, the importance of registering on them, conditions for successful scientific research and publication, and the electronic resources provided by the СSU scientific library.
