On November 20, 2024, staff from Comrat State University ( CSU) presented on the topic "Involving Libraries in Digital Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges" at the forum organized by the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. The Forum discussed key issues for planning library operations in 2025: expanding access to digital resources, improving digital literacy of staff, implementing public projects, partnering with IT institutes, and other topics. The activities of the National Library Council in the areas of legislation, artificial intelligence, human rights, and copyright were also presented. Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan emphasized the important role of libraries in both digital and general transformation, highlighting their activity, flexibility, and wide coverage in the Republic of Moldova. He urged librarians to realize the mission of libraries in transforming society, ensuring access to technology, and disseminating reliable information. The Forum was attended by leaders of library centers, university libraries, the National Book Chamber, and representatives of APL.
