On February 15, 2022 Mrs. Hannah Zevenbergen, a representative of DELPHY (Netherlands) arrived at Comrat State University on a working visit. Rector of CSU, Serghei Zaharia, PhD Associate Professor, introduced the information about the Departments of the University, and discussed opportunities for cooperation and implementation of joint projects on the territory of UTA Gagauzia in the field of growing vegetables in greenhouses.
During the visit, the project manager Hannah Zevenbergen held joint working meetings with the dean of the Faculty of Agrarian Technology Serghei Cara, with the head
Agro Laboratory Mahamat Yamtitina with the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gagauzia Mihail Pashaly. The possibilities of the agro-technological faculty and the Agrolaboratory were presented. At the meeting, a roadmap was discussed for joint work with DELPHY, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gagauzia and Comrat State University. The development of general concepts for the implementation of the experience of the Netherlands in growing vegetables in protected ground in the production conditions of UTA Gagauzia.
The technological features of the production of vegetables in greenhouses were discussed with the head of SRL “Cotov-Agro” S.G. Radov. The head of the association "Agro-Oguz" D. Berezyan provided information on ongoing projects in this area, informed Mrs. Hannah Zevenbergen about the difficulties faced by greenhouses. Based on the results of the visit of Hannah Zevenbergen, project manager of DELPHY, an analysis of the development of greenhouse production in UTA Gagauzia will be drawn up. In March - April, it is planned to visit the experts of this company in order to conduct education and training for UTA farmers
Gagauzia so as to be engaged in the cultivation of vegetables in closed ground.
