Project goal:
ERIK is an international training program coordinated by Linköping University under the Swedish Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP). ERIK aims to provide young professionals from the EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries with knowledge, skills, and tools to promote gender equality in governance, leadership, and policymaking in line with the principles and values of the European Union.
The ERIK program is open to young professionals aged approximately 25–40 from the following Eastern Partnership countries of the EU. Eligible candidates include:
⦁ Government administrators, policymakers, or civil servants at national, regional, or local levels;
⦁ Professionals working in the field of EU integration, public administration, or democratic development;
⦁ Researchers and practitioners in higher education engaged in Horizon Europe programs or gender studies;
⦁ Employees of NGOs, think tanks, or civil society organizations focused on equality, governance, or policy reform;
⦁ Specialists in human resources, management, evaluation, or monitoring of public programs.
Expected results — After the program participants will:
⦁ Understand EU regulations on gender equality and democratic governance;
⦁ Be able to design and implement Gender Equality Plans (GEPs);
⦁ Have tools to promote inclusive leadership in their institutions;
⦁ Develop practical action plans and policy proposals adapted to their contexts;
⦁ Gain access to an international network of peers and institutions working in equality and governance.
