The Master's Student of Comrat State University Successfully Completed the Erasmus+ Mobility Program at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Türkiye

The master's student of Comrat State University, specializing in "Teaching the Gagauz Language and Literature in Pre-University Educational Institutions", Alexandra Dimina, participated in the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies (SMS) program at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (Turkey) from October 8, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

This program became an incredible and enriching experience for her. Over four months, Alexandra studied the Turkish language and literature while immersing herself in the culture of the country. The program provided her with an opportunity not only to significantly improve her language skills but also to explore Turkish traditions and customs, draw parallels between the Gagauz and Turkish languages and folklore, and conduct a small research study in the field of traditional culture. One of the key aspects of her studies was Turkish folklore and research methods in this field. At the Department of Folklore Studies, Alexandra actively attended classes, participated in cultural events, and studied folklore research methodology. This allowed her not only to deepen her academic understanding of the subject but also to communicate directly with native speakers, contributing to a true intercultural exchange. Living in Cappadocia – one of Turkey’s most picturesque and historically significant regions – was another crucial part of her experience. Alexandra actively explored the local culture, visited landmarks, museums, and historical sites, which helped her gain a deeper understanding of the region's cultural heritage. In addition to academic studies, she also completed an internship at a museum located in Avanos, a nearby town. Furthermore, during her stay in Turkey, Alexandra visited Ankara, Kayseri, and Sivas, giving her a broader perspective on the country's cultural diversity. A particularly valuable experience was meeting and engaging with renowned Turkish scholars and professors, including Prof. Dr. Mustafa Argunşah.

Alexandra expresses her deep gratitude to Comrat State University for the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program, as well as for the support and organization of this unique experience. The program inspired her to continue developing in the field of intercultural communication and to further her studies in languages and cultures.
