From 8 September 2025 to 7 January 2026, Ivan Cara, a third-year student of the Faculty of Economics at Comrat State University, specialising in Hotel Services, Tourism and Leisure, completed a study mobility at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, within the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies programme.

The studies took place in a truly international environment: the University of Coimbra hosts more than 1,000 international students from over 50 countries, creating unique conditions for intercultural exchange and professional growth. The student actively participated in the learning process, worked in international academic groups, and interacted with professors and students from different countries, contributing to the development of communication skills, tolerance, and global thinking.

During the study period, special attention was given to international relations, economics, interstate cooperation, and global processes. The knowledge gained allowed him to broaden his understanding of contemporary international economic and political relations and to apply theoretical knowledge within the European higher education system.

Beyond academic activities, the stay in Portugal provided deep cultural and linguistic immersion. The student actively explored the history and culture of the country, Portuguese traditions and lifestyle, and attended cultural and educational events. This greatly expanded his worldview and helped him build friendships with students from various parts of the world.

According to the student, studying at the University of Coimbra was a valuable international experience that contributed to the development of independence, responsibility, self-confidence, and professional orientation. The international academic environment offered a new perspective on the chosen field and helped identify further directions for professional growth.
