The Rector of the Comrat State University delivered the speech at the international conference within the framework of the project "Enhancing the Capacity of Universities to Participate in Cluster Development Based on Innovation and Sustainability Principles" (UniClaD), implemented under the Erasmus+ KA2 program of the European Union, at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)

On October 2, 2024, an international conference "Enhancing the Capacity of Universities to Participate in Cluster Development Based on Innovation and Sustainability Principles" was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) (Baku, Azerbaijan) as part of the UniClaD project, implemented under the Erasmus+ KA2 program of the European Union. The conference was attended by more than 20 higher education institutions and industrial organizations representing the project consortium, including Italy, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Austria, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. During the conference, reports were presented on the development and activities of clusters in the agricultural sector, as well as on European experiences in this area. The conference also included about 60 participants representing 20 international partner institutions of the project. In his opening speech, the Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. prof., Dr., Serhgei Zaharia, emphasized the role of Erasmus+ KA2 projects of the European Union in enhancing the academic and research capacity of higher education institutions and strengthening cooperation between them. Other speakers at the conference included: the Rectors of partner universities: Rector of AzTU, Prof., Dr., Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of the Technical University of Moldova, Professor, Dr. Habil., Viorel Bostan, Rector of Poltava State Agrarian University, Prof. Dr., Oleksandr Halych, who highlighted the comprehensive contribution of Erasmus projects to the development of higher education institutions, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Mr. Mujdat Hasanov, Director of the National Erasmus+ Office Mr. Parviz Baghirov, Director of the Agricultural Innovation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Mr. Anar Jafarov. The conference continued with presentations on the results of the activities of partner higher education institutions and organizations participating in the UniClaD project.
