Partners’ meeting of the international project ENRICHER HUBS – PROJECT ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2

On June 17, the working meeting was held within the framework of the project Designing Green Tourism Concepts Through Learning ENRICHER HUBS - PROJECT ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2. The project partners are:   university from Finland - Haaga-Helia (project coordinator), the International Management Center from Innsbruck (Austria) (MCI Management Center Innsbruck Internationale Hochschule), the University of Degli Studi di Genova (Italy), Caucasus University ( Caucasus University), A. Tsereteli State University, State University named after. Y. Gogebashvili, Telavi (Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University), Georgia, universities of the Republic of Moldova - University of European Political and Economic Studies. K. Stere, (University of European Political and Economic Studies Constantin Stere), Moldova State University, Comrat State University.

The project started at the beginning of 2024 and at the meeting preliminary results and results of completed tasks within the WP project were discussed, representatives of partner universities responsible for activities within the framework of the project tasks were heard.

From Comrat University the following participants took part in the meeting: project coordinator – doctor, conf. univ., Fedotova L.V.; Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, doctor, conf. univ. Genova S.I.; Dean of the Faculty of Economics, doctor, conf. univ. Todorich L.P.; head of  department of Economics, doctor, conf. univ., Muska S.F.; Doctor habilitat, prof. Levitskaya A.P., Doctor  habilitat, conf.univ. Shchukina N.V.

The agenda of the last meeting included the following issues:

  1. General information from the project coordinators.
  2. WP2: summary of the survey report conducted by Caucasus University.
  3. WP2: EU Best Practice Report /Universita Degli Studi di Genova
  4. WP3: training participants, registration and travel plans / MCI Management Center Innsbruck Internationale Hochschule
  5. WP 6: activities to disseminate information about the project of each university M1-M6/state university (Moldova State University)
  6. WP 1: other issues / Haag-Helia University (HHUAS).

  The meeting began with the exchange of information about significant, important events that took place among the partners participating in the project. Next, Giorgi Bregadze, representing the Caucasus University, Georgia, introduced the meeting participants to the results of an analysis of a survey conducted by partners from Georgia and Moldova - representatives of the tourism industry, representatives of government bodies whose competence includes issues of tourism management were interviewed. The presentation presented the conclusions and problems faced by tour operators in the process of transition to green tourism. The survey is carried out by filling out a questionnaire developed as part of the ENRICHER hubs project. The interview in Gagauzia was conducted by a member of the project team, doctor, associate professor Svetlana Genova. As part of WP 2, she conducted 7 interviews, information on which was recorded in template interview forms.

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the upcoming training, which will take place in October 2024 at Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi, Georgia.

We remind you that on January 1, 2024, the project “dEsigNing gReen tourIsm Concepts through lEaRning” (Development of the concept of green tourism through education) (ENRICHER hubs – project) ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 was launched, the grand holder of the project is Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), international project coordinator - Nora Lappalainen, project implementation period - 3 years.

The project is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ CBHE fund.
