Wine Tourism Development Workshop in the framework of the ENRICHER hubs project

 

 

Students and faculty from Comrat State University visited the Chisinau Tourist Information Center and participated in a workshop on wine tourism development at the Castel Mimi Winery (#castelmimiwinery) as part of the ENRICHER hubs project "Designing Green Tourism Concepts Through Learning" (ENRICHER HUBS – PROJECT ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2). During their visit to the Chisinau Tourist Information Center, participants learned about the main development trends in the capital's tourism industry, the center's activities for promoting domestic and inbound tourism, and modern tourism marketing and information support tools. Particular attention was paid to the presentation of Moldova's tourist routes, digital platforms and services for travelers, and the practice of interacting with tour operators and wineries in the country.
At a workshop on wine tourism development, held at Castel Mimi, one of Moldova's leading wineries, CSU students learned about modern approaches to developing wine and gastronomic tourism, as well as best practices for integrating cultural heritage, history, and local branding into tourism products.
The workshop program included a presentation and practical sessions on organizing tourist routes, working with tourist information centers, interacting with local communities, and promoting wine tourism nationally and internationally. Participants were introduced to the Castel Mimi winery's infrastructure, its tourist attractions, and its experience in successfully implementing wine tourism projects.
Participating in the event were ENRICHER project expert Professor Alla Levitskaia and Acting Director of the Department of Wine and Tourism. Dean of the Agrarian Faculty, Assos.Professor Serghei Cara, teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics and the Agrarian Faculty.
