Students from Сomrat State University participated in a training program on acquiring skills for behavior and management in emergency situations and natural disasters (AFAD) in the province of Edirne (Republic of Turkey)

The team of ten students and assistant of lecturer from Сomrat State University participated in the training program under the auspices of the province of Edirne from May 20 to 26, 2024 (an administrative unit in the Republic of Turkey located in the northwest of the country) organized by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of the Republic of Turkey (AFAD). During the training program, Сomrat State University students acquired quality skills to provide assistance during natural disasters: earthquakes, fires, and floods. Teams of university students from 9 countries around the world participated in the program events held at the regional AFAD office in Edirne province. It is planned to submit a petition to the Senate of Сomrat State University and make a decision: "to include students who have completed the training program and received certification in the AFAD team, which will be created for the first time at our university". The administration and student body express their gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Moldova and the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in the city of Сomrat (Republic of Moldova) for their support and contribution to the development of educational diplomacy between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Moldova.
