The National Agency for Research and Development (ANCD) of the Republic of Moldova organized an information session on February 21, 2025, at Comrat State University (CSU), where five project competitions for the years 2025-2026 were presented. The Vice-Rector of CSU for Research Activities, Assoc. Prof., PhD Svetlana Ghenova, welcomed the Agency's team and the university's scientific community, emphasizing the importance of this information session for researchers. In her speech, she noted that a strong higher education system is impossible without the harmonious development of science and education. "Currently, scientific research at our university is carried out within the framework of projects. However, there are certain challenges that we strive to overcome to strengthen this direction. I believe that ANCD's initiative to develop dialogue with universities is of great importance, and I hope such meetings become a tradition. Despite digitalization, where information exchange takes place constantly, nothing can replace live communication with those who directly coordinate research activities in the Republic of Moldova. Such meetings motivate researchers from all universities to actively participate in projects and contribute to increasing the country's competitiveness both nationally and internationally." On behalf of the General Director of ANCD, Aurelia Hanganu, ANCD RM employees delivered a welcoming speech, thanking the university administration, Rector Serghei Zaharia, Assoc. Prof., PhD, for organizing such an important event. "ANCD launched an information campaign from February 11 to 21, 2025, within which the conditions for conducting ANCD 2025-2026 competitions are discussed. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, it was decided to consult with the academic community to adjust the participation and funding conditions, allowing a greater number of researchers to participate in the competitions." The Agency’s representatives encouraged Comrat State University researchers to actively engage in this process, provide suggestions and recommendations for improving participation conditions, as well as funding mechanisms for scientific research. During the session, ANCD representatives familiarized the scientific community of CSU with the conditions for submitting project competition applications, which can be submitted from February 19 to April 4, 2025. The official launch of the competitions was announced at a press conference organized by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with ANCD. Agency experts provided detailed information about competitions aimed at developing research potential within the "Horizon Europe" program, innovation vouchers, stimulating scientific excellence, supporting young researchers, joint projects between the scientific diaspora and research organizations of the Republic of Moldova "ReBRAIN," as well as ongoing open competitions under the "Horizon Europe" program. ANCD representatives answered the participants' questions. Detailed information on the informational session's materials can be found at the following electronic link:
