
On November 19, 2025, lecturers and students of Comrat State University (CSU) took part in the regional forum “Local Partnerships for European Integration,” held in the municipality of Comrat. The forum brought together representatives of local and regional authorities, civil society, the business sector, and the academic community to discuss the role of local initiatives in the European integration process and practical mechanisms for supporting regional development.
The Rector of CSU, Assoc. prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia delivered a speech on the topic “The Role of Local Actors and the Processes of European Integration,” emphasizing the importance of transparent governance, citizen engagement, and the involvement of the academic community in shaping local projects, as well as the need to apply European funding instruments and standards in the educational and socio-economic practices of the region.
In his speech, the Rector noted that the university is ready to serve as a platform for training specialists and implementing project initiatives that strengthen cooperation between local authorities, businesses, and the population.
The CSU delegation included staff and students from the Faculties of Economics, Law, and Agriculture. They participated in plenary discussions, exchanged experiences, and explored opportunities for universities to take part in projects related to infrastructure development, education, and public awareness.
