At the Department of Gagauz Philology and History, an open class was held

On April 10, 2026, at Comrat State University, in the Center of Gagauz Language and Culture (Room 203), an open seminar on the discipline “History of Gagauz Literature: Part II” was organized by the lecturer of the Department of Gagauz Philology and History, Doctor of Philology Vitaliy Syrf, with students of group GR-24 specializing in “Gagauz and Romanian Language and Literature.” The seminar was dedicated to the work of the Gagauz writer Alexandra Kristova.
The seminar was attended by the faculty members of the Department of Gagauz Philology and History: Doctor Galina Mutaf, Master Galina Mutkoglo, Doctor Gyullyu Karanfil, Master Natalia Dushkova, Doctor, Associate Professor Sergey Khorozov, as well as students.
Alexandra Kristova spoke about herself, her life and creative biography, and gave a detailed overview of each of her published literary collections: Cıvırliga türküsü (Song of the Lark), Lüzgerä karşı (Against the Wind), and İnan alfabeti (Alphabet of Faith). Afterwards, students of group GR-24 — Olga Kara, Maria Uzun, and Anna Pulukchu — shared their impressions of the writer’s works, emphasizing their patriotic spirit, ethnocultural and religious components, rich and vivid language, imagery, and poetic style.
On behalf of the lecturers, Natalia Dushkova took the floor. Being Alexandra Kristova’s fellow villager (from the village of Kongazchik, Comrat district, Gagauzia, Republic of Moldova) and even her relative, she warmly spoke about the writer’s personal qualities, her attentiveness to people and the surrounding world. In conclusion, she wished Alexandra Kristova good health, happiness, prosperity, and new creative achievements. All participants joined in these wishes.
The seminar was held in a warm atmosphere. The students received not only positive grades for their answers, but also motivation and a positive attitude for further mastering the academic program.
