On February 19, 2026, the faculty of the Department of Gagauz Philology and History organized an event dedicated to International Mother Language Day at the Gagauz Language and Culture Center (Room 203). The event was attended by students from the Faculty of National Culture, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Economics.
The students recited poems and sang songs in various languages:
- In Romanian: Kristioglo Diana (GR-25), Stamova Ksenia (AN-25), Çalıku Diana (EÜP-25);
- In Gagauz: Kol Raissa (GR-25), Kirçu Yasemin (EÜP-25), Kior Irina (EÜP-25), Brasnibrada Maria (YU-25), Serova Ekaterina (AN-25), Koçan Kristina (ZNO-21);
- In Bulgarian: Kınev Ivan (YU-25), Nikolaeva Edina (YU-25);
- In Turkish: Aksoy Sümiye (PO-25);
- In Ukrainian: Margaçev Aleksandr (EML-25);
- In English: Petkoglo Emma (YU-25);
- In German: Deli Afina (AN-24), Kambur Olga (AN-24);
- In French: Küylcü Ksenia (AN-25).
Kirçu Yasemin read a poem of her own.
Certificates were given to all participants.
