On April 7, 2026, on the birthday of Serghei Filioglo, the Piano and Chamber Music Festival dedicated to the memory of the outstanding musician and teacher took place.

The festival confirmed its status as a significant cultural event, bringing together students of music schools, lyceums, colleges, and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova, as well as young performers striving for professional growth and artistic self-expression.

The program included a master class by Professor A.F. Lapikus, Head of the Piano Department at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (Chișinău), People’s Artist of the Republic of Moldova, as well as concert performances by students and teachers of A. Valkov Children’s Music School, students of Șt. Neaga Exemplary Center, AMTAP students, Ruse University “Angel Kanchev” (Taraclia branch), and students of Comrat State University.

Participants performed works from various eras and styles — from classical heritage to contemporary music. A special place in the repertoire was given to compositions by composers from Gagauzia, highlighting the cultural significance and focus of the festival.

The performances were distinguished by a high level of artistry, expressiveness, and depth of interpretation.

Festival participants were awarded commemorative diplomas and prizes.

The festival made an important contribution to the development of music education, support of talented youth, and promotion of academic and chamber music.
