A Meeting Dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Poet Ivan MILEV Was Held at Comrat State University

On September 19, 2024, a meeting dedicated to the 75th anniversary of poet Ivan MILEV, an architect, educator, member of the Union of Russian Writers of the Republic of Moldova named after A.S. Pushkin, a member of the Writers' Union of Gagauzia, and an active participant in the establishment of Gagauz Autonomy, took place in the scientific library hall of Comrat State University (CSU). The meeting was opened by the director of the CSU scientific library, Janna GARCHEVA, who delivered a welcoming speech. Ivan MILEV was honored with a certificate of appreciation for his contributions to educational activities at Comrat State University, as well as for his role in the development of national culture and the patriotic and spiritual education of youth. As part of the conference, Janna GARCHEVA presented the biography and work of Ivan MILEV. Participants listened to songs based on the poet's verses and viewed presentations titled “Through the Pages of the Family Album” and “Illustrations for Children’s Poetry.” Students from the Department of Gagauz Philology and History, the Department of Pedagogy, as well as teachers and librarians took part in the event. As a result of the meeting, attendees became acquainted with the works of Ivan MILEV in Gagauz and Russian languages and learned about one of the directions of Gagauz literature—spiritual poetry. The event was organized by the staff of the CSU scientific library in collaboration with the Department of Gagauz Philology and History and the Department of Pedagogy.
