The internship for the specialty "Engineering and Management in Branches," according to the curricula, is held in the 5th semester during the period from 22.09.2025 to 26.09.2025, in the third year of study. The internship is organized in September, during the period of active fieldwork, which allows students to consolidate theoretical knowledge in the conditions of real production processes.
The main purpose of the internship is to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge, to form practical skills in the core disciplines, and to develop the professional competence of students in the field of engineering and branch management.
The internship lasts one week. During this period, students become familiar with the organization and technology in the following areas:
• Sheep and goat breeding – studying systems of housing, feeding, care, and breeding work;
• Poultry farming – familiarization with modern methods of breeding, feeding, and maintaining farm poultry;
• Viticulture – practical acquaintance with vineyard care techniques in autumn, preparation for winter, and grape variety specifics;
• Fruit growing – studying seasonal fieldwork in orchards, methods of caring for fruit crops, harvesting, and primary processing of yields.
The academic internship plays a key role in the educational process of the students of the Agrarian-Technological Faculty. It provides a unique opportunity not only to apply theoretical knowledge in practice but also to better understand how technological processes are implemented in agricultural production. Students get the chance to observe and master the methods studied in classrooms in real enterprise conditions. This helps develop practical skills necessary for future professional activity and to better navigate the specifics of agricultural production. The internship is an indispensable element of the learning process, contributing to the training of specialists ready to solve current challenges in agronomy, animal husbandry, and agricultural product processing.
