On September 3, 2025, Comrat State University hosted a meeting of the administration, represented by Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, and Vice-Rector for International Relations and Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetlana Ghenova, together with the International Relations and Project Department of CSU, with PhD students from Turkish universities, who arrived within the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme.

The guests of the university were Ümit Kazan from Akdeniz University and Orhan Çiçek from Pamukkale University. Within the programme, the PhD students will collect materials for their doctoral theses. Thus, Ümit Kazan will stay at CSU for two weeks, conducting research on the peculiarities of tourism in Moldova, with a special focus on Gagauzia. Orhan Çiçek will spend three months researching Gagauz literature. The PhD students will carry out their internships under the coordination of the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and the Department of Gagauz Philology and History of the Faculty of National Culture.

During the meeting, an introduction took place, the PhD students shared their research plans, goals, and expected results, and had the opportunity to ask questions of interest. The administration wished them success and emphasized that CSU is always open to cooperation and ready to provide support.
