On September 24, 2024, at the Faculty of National Culture of Comrat State University, within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, an open lecture was delivered by guest expert Inga Mylevica (Alberta College, Latvia).
The lecture, entitled “Modern Trends and Tools in Public Presentations”, addressed key topics such as:
-the evolution of public presentations – from classical formats to storytelling and TED Talks;
-modern visual trends and tools (Canva, Prezi, Beautiful.ai);
-digital services for interactive engagement with the audience (Zoom, Miro, Mentimeter, Slido);
-the role of verbal and non-verbal communication, structure, and delivery;
-practical mini-presentations by students followed by feedback.
The practice-oriented session allowed students to acquire valuable knowledge and skills in public speaking, visual and digital communication. Students of the Faculty of National Culture and the Faculty of Law actively engaged with the new information, noting the relevance and practical significance of the tools presented. The lecture marked an important step in advancing international academic cooperation, expanding digital competencies, and developing public speaking skills essential for academic and professional success. Comrat State University sincerely thanks Inga Mylevica for her insightful presentation, experience sharing, and contribution to the development of academic collaboration.
