Associate Professor of the Law Faculty of Comrat State University Visited Akdeniz University, Türkiye, under the Erasmus+ Programme

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vladlena Lysenko, Habilitated Doctor of Law and Lecturer at the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, Comrat State University, visited Akdeniz University (Antalya, Türkiye) from 6 to 10 October 2025 under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) programme. The purpose of the visit was to enhance international cooperation, exchange academic experience, and deliver lectures to Turkish students.

During the visit, Vladlena Lysenko became acquainted with Turkish universities’ initiatives in the fields of international partnership, education, and research. Meetings were held with representatives of the International Office of Akdeniz University. The Coordinator of International Relations, Prof. Dr. Irfan Turhan, presented the university’s structure, academic programmes, research centres, and international projects. Dr. Dilek Hale Aybar shared the results of Akdeniz University’s participation in Erasmus+ projects focused on the digitalisation of education, sustainable development, and academic mobility. The significant moment of the visit was the meeting with the Rector of Akdeniz University, Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan. Separate meetings were also held with Prof. Dr. Burhan Özkan, Prof. Dr. Nedim Yüzbaşıoğlu, Lecturer Metehan Yaykaşlı, and others, who discussed specialist training, the development of applied learning, and the integration of students into international research projects.

Lectures and presentations were held at the Faculties of Law, Education, Natural Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Tourism, and Applied Sciences. The topics covered included European integration and Moldova’s role in the Eastern Partnership, the geopolitics of Eastern Europe, human rights and the rule of law, the activities of international organisations, and the interrelation between the UN Sustainable Development Goals and regional policies, as well as the role of universities and civil society in achieving them. Students showed great interest and engagement, laying the foundation for future academic dialogue between the universities.

In addition to academic and research activities, the visit included a cultural programme during which Vladlena Lysenko explored Antalya’s historical and cultural heritage. She visited the old town Kaleiçi, Hadrian’s Gate, and the Antalya Archaeological Museum. The visit to Akdeniz University became an important step in strengthening the international ties of Comrat State University, promoting knowledge exchange, and opening new opportunities for joint educational, scientific, and cultural initiatives.
