As part of his visit to Bursa Technical University (BTÜ) from 13 to 17 October 2025 under the Erasmus+ Programme, the Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, visited Bursateknopark – the innovation hub of Bursa Technical University that brings together science, education, and business.
Bursateknopark, established on 22 March 2021 and which became operational 16 June 2022, is the 75th Technology Development Zone of Türkiye and plays a key role in strengthening the scientific and technological potential of the region. During the visit, the Rector of CSU learned about the structure and activities of the technopark, including the support of innovative start-ups, commercialization of research results, promotion of entrepreneurship, and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and governmental institutions. The mission of Bursateknopark is to support the creation of innovative, high value-added products and services, to develop a strong research and innovation (R&D) ecosystem, and to contribute to international technological integration. Its vision is to become a globally competitive center, while its core values are scientific excellence, ethics, innovation, and commitment to sustainable regional and national development.
For Comrat State University, this visit represented a significant step in learning from Türkiye’s experience in establishing and managing science and technology parks. The knowledge gained and the partnerships formed will help enhance CSU’s scientific and innovation potential, enable joint research and start-up projects, promote staff and student participation in international initiatives, and facilitate the exchange of best practices in research commercialization and innovation support.
