Comrat State University Professors Participated in the Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme at Çankırı Karatekin University, Türkiye

Between 13 and 17 October 2025, Dr. Svetlana Curaxina, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, and Dr. Raisa Covricova, Associate Professor at the Department of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Economics, Comrat State University, took part in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training/Teaching programme at Çankırı Karatekin University (Çankırı, Türkiye). This mobility was carried out within the Erasmus+ International Staff Week, dedicated to Erasmus Days 2025, and included a rich academic, professional, and cultural programme.

On the first day, participants were welcomed by representatives of the Erasmus International Office, who presented the main directions of international cooperation at Çankırı Karatekin University. Particular attention was given to developing international partnerships. Meetings with representatives from universities in Türkiye, Bangladesh, Georgia, and African countries focused on opportunities for expanding academic collaboration, developing joint research projects, and strengthening cooperation within Erasmus+ programmes.

As part of the teaching activities, Dr. Raisa Kovricova delivered a series of lectures for students on the following topics:

  • Moldova: the country, population, and education system. Gagauzia – an autonomous territorial unit within Moldova. Comrat State University: structure, specialties, students;
  • Applications of mathematics in economics: using linear algebra to solve economic problems, the Leontief input–output model of multi-sectoral economics;
  • Applications of calculus in economics: using differential and integral calculus to solve economic problems;
  • Using information technologies to solve advanced mathematical problems.

Dr. Svetlana Curaxina took part in the sessions of the Faculty of Economics at Çankırı Karatekin University, where she discussed with Turkish colleagues modern approaches to teaching economic disciplines and ways to integrate digital tools into the learning process. These events served as a platform for sharing experiences and strengthening professional ties between academics from different countries.

Additionally, the professors met with Comrat State University students who are currently studying at Çankırı Karatekin University under the Erasmus+ Mobility for Studies programme. The cultural part of the visit included excursions to the Salt Cave in Çankırı, the historical complex Taşmescit, and the cities of Safranbolu and Kastamonu, where participants explored the region’s rich history and admired its picturesque landscapes.
