From 20 to 23 August 2026, the working group of Comrat State University participated in the final reporting conference of the international UNI-HEALTH project – “Academic partnership for health improvement of youth with health disorders and special needs”, implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education programme. The conference was held at the Trakia University campus in Tsarevo, Bulgaria, and brought together representatives of the project partner organisations. The joint work of educational, research, sports and civil society organisations made it possible to implement a comprehensive approach to student health, physical activity and well-being.
Comrat State University was represented at the conference by the UNI-HEALTH project working group: Oxana Curteva – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, UNI-HEALTH Project Coordinator at CSU; Angela Polevaia-Secareanu – PhD, Associate Professor; Liudmila Ibrisim – PhD, Lecturer; Stela Cucereanu – PhD, Lecturer.
The main objective of the final conference was to summarize the implementation of the project, present the results achieved, exchange successful practices among the partners and discuss opportunities for the further use of the developed materials and approaches in the university environment.
During the conference, the team of Comrat State University presented the results of its activities in the main areas of the project. Particular attention was paid to activities aimed at strengthening students’ physical and psychological health, promoting a culture of healthy living, developing stress resilience, increasing physical activity and creating a supportive university environment.
CSU representatives presented the results of research and practical work carried out with students from the project target group. Throughout the implementation of UNI-HEALTH, students’ physical, functional and psychological condition was monitored, indicators of their health and well-being were assessed, and educational and practice-oriented activities on healthy lifestyles were organised.
A significant part of CSU’s activities focused on developing stress-management and self-regulation skills, supporting students’ psychological well-being and strengthening their stress resilience, as well as creating an emotionally safe and supportive educational environment.
A separate area of activity was related to developing a culture of healthy and balanced nutrition. Thematic sessions and consultations were organised for students, and practical recommendations and information materials were developed to promote conscious food choices and responsible attitudes towards personal health.
An important component of the project was physical wellness and sports activities. Students participated in wellness gymnastics, fitness sessions and various forms of physical and sports activities. Particular attention was paid to adapting physical loads to individual health conditions, motivating students to engage in regular physical activity and developing a sustainable commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
During the conference, representatives of all partner organisations presented the results of their work, exchanged experience and discussed opportunities for the further implementation of the developed methodological materials, educational programmes and wellness practices in university activities.
The programme of the final meeting also included sports, cultural and social activities that contributed to strengthening partnerships, intercultural interaction and the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle.
One of the important final outputs of the project will be a joint methodological guide for students, which is planned to systematize and present practical materials and recommendations developed and tested by the UNI-HEALTH partners. In this way, the guide will bring together the international experience accumulated by the partners and provide students with specific tools, exercises, recommendations and practices that can be used to maintain and improve their physical and psychological health.
Comrat State University’s participation in the UNI-HEALTH project contributed to the development of international cooperation, professional exchange, the introduction of new approaches to supporting students’ health and well-being, and the development of a university environment focused on the physical, psychological and social well-being of young people.
