
From 19 to 21 May 2026, the team of nine partner universities within the ENRICHER hubs project gathered in the green and beautiful city of Chișinău. Moldova State University hosted the dissemination conference, project activities, and a field visit dedicated to sustainable tourism.
On 19 May 2026, the conference “Green Tourism Innovation in Action” brought together universities, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and international partners to exchange practical experiences and perspectives in the field of sustainable tourism.
The key highlights of the event included:
• Universities’ experiences in business challenges
• Entrepreneurs’ perspectives and success stories
• European best practices in sustainable tourism
• Synergies between international projects supporting the European Green Deal
The event highlighted the important role of higher education institutions as innovation hubs promoting sustainable and locally oriented development. We sincerely thank all participants and partners for their valuable contributions.
On the second day, a project meeting and workshop focused on the sustainability plan and dissemination strategy were held. Participants also visited Constantin Stere University of Political and Economic Studies and had the opportunity to explore the new Green Tourism Hub.
The third day began with a short visit to the Green Tourism Hub at Moldova State University. Afterwards, participants had the opportunity to discover Moldova’s rich culture and beautiful landscapes. The group visited the hills of Old Orhei, enjoyed the breathtaking scenery, and explored the ancient cave monastery. The delegation also descended into the famous wine city Cricova Winery, which offers a unique underground world with more than 100 kilometers of tunnels and a constant temperature of 12°C.
