From 13 to 16 October 2026, Linköping University (Sweden) hosted a meeting of participants in the international project ERIK – Equality, Rights and Inclusion Knowledge, organised as part of the third training module, “Monitoring and Reporting on Gender Equality.” The main objective of the module was to strengthen participants' skills in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on gender equality initiatives.
Comrat State University was represented by Tatiana Racovcena, PhD, Associate Professor, and Nadejda Ianioglo, PhD, Associate Professor.
During the meeting, participants discussed modern monitoring tools, approaches to developing quantitative and qualitative indicators, methods of data analysis, and ways to assess the effectiveness of institutional gender equality strategies.
Representatives of the partner organisations ASUE, NUACA (Armenia), CSU and NARD (Moldova) presented their institutions' activities, existing monitoring mechanisms, achievements and main challenges in implementing gender equality policies.
During the practical sessions, participants worked on developing institutional monitoring matrices, defining indicators, data sources, baselines, targets and responsible units. Particular attention was paid to sharing experiences, discussing practical challenges and developing recommendations for improving existing evaluation mechanisms.
As a result of the meeting, the project partners identified further areas for joint work, including improving gender equality monitoring systems, preparing analytical reports, developing institutional action plans and applying the knowledge gained within their organisations.
Participation in the ERIK project contributes to strengthening international cooperation between universities and research organisations from Moldova, Armenia, Sweden and Poland, promoting the exchange of experience and developing institutional capacity in the field of gender equality.
The ERIK project is financially supported by the Swedish Institute through the Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) programme. The project is coordinated by Linköping University (Sweden).
