On 29 December 2025, within the framework of the ERIK — Equality, Rights and Inclusion Knowledge project, implemented with the financial support of the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP), an informational and mentoring meeting was held for participants from the Republic of Moldova.
Mentoring support was provided by Nadejna Ianioglo (Comrat State University) and Natalia Bolokan (National Agency for Research and Development).
The meeting was dedicated to clarifying the content and requirements for the implementation of the group project within Module 1: Foundation of Gender Equality in the EU Context, carried out during the period from 1 December 2025 to 30 January 2026. The main objective of the project is to map the state of gender equality in the participating countries.
Participants were introduced to two key directions of group work:
Objective 1 — analysis of the current state of gender equality in the Republic of Moldova;
Objective 2 — case studies on the implementation of European Union gender equality policies, including the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025 and gender mainstreaming mechanisms.
Special attention was paid to a comparative approach, based on the use of statistical data, institutional practices, and policy frameworks of Sweden and Poland.
The informational meeting also addressed issues related to team organisation, expected outcomes, and the practical relevance of the assignments for the Eastern Partnership countries. Participants received guidance on the structure of analytical papers, evaluation criteria, and opportunities for adapting European experience to the national context, contributing to the strengthening of their professional competencies in the field of gender equality and European integration processes.
