On April 10, 2024, in accordance with the calendar plan approved by the Federation of Student Sports and Veterans of the Republic of Moldova, the national team of student-athletes of Comrat State University (CSU), under the leadership of Angela Poleva-Secareanu, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, conference-university director of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of CSU, took part in the National Student Championship of the Republic of Moldova in freestyle wrestling. The National Student Championship was held in the sports complex of the State University of Physical Education and Sport, Republic of Moldova. In total, the national team of Comrat State University brought two silver and three bronze medals from the National Student Championship in freestyle wrestling, in which seven teams from higher educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova participated. The national team in freestyle wrestling was composed by five students, two silver medalists and three bronze medalists of the National Student Championship of the Republic of Moldova in freestyle wrestling:
-Ilya Lesic won the Silver medal (II place) in the light weight category up to 57 kg, student of the CSU, Faculty of Law, gr. ZY 22/2, pupil of the coach Vasile Ivanovic Tatarli, Taraclia city;
-Dmitry Tabunschchik took the second place (silver) in the weight category up to 97 kg. He is a student of the Agrarian-Technological Faculty, group AIM-22, CSU, a pupil of the sports club Buz Kurt, coach Dudoglo Nikolai Kharlampievich;
-Nikolai Stefoglo, bronze medalist (III place) in the weight category up to 65 kg, student of the Faculty of Law, CSU, first year, group U-23, pupil of Comrat DYSSH, coach Curu Petru;
-Dyakov Yuri, bronze medalist (medal) in the weight category up to 70 kg, student of the Eeonomics Faculty, CSU, first year, group ETU-23, pupil of the sports club Buz Kurt, coach Dudoglo Nikolai Kharlampievich;
-Chavdar Grigorii, bronze medalist (III place) in the weight category up to 79 kg, a student of the Faculty of Law, CSU, first year, group ETU-23, pupil of the Regional Sports Lyceum-Boarding m. Comrat, coach Franzhevir. Comrat, coaches Franjev Fedor Fedorovich and Esir Ilia Vasilievich
