On October 22, 2024, a meeting was held at Comrat State University between the Assoc. Prof., Dr., Serghei Zaharia, and the students who passed the selection to participate in the National Student Universiade, which will take place on October 23, 2024. The annual Universiade in the Republic of Moldova is an important sports event that allows identifying the best student athletes in various disciplines. This year, Comrat State University will be represented by nine students from the faculties of Economics, Law, and Agrarian Technology, who will compete in the "trânta" wrestling competitions. The team coach is Assoc. Prof., Dr., and Judo Master of Sports Angela Polevaia-Secereanu. During the meeting, the rector expressed his gratitude to the students for their determination and readiness to defend the honor of the university, and wished them luck in the upcoming competitions. Serghei Zaharia emphasized the importance of such events for the development of student sports and supported the athletes by assisting with travel expenses for the trip. This meeting demonstrated not only the university administration's support but also the unity of the entire sports team, ready to fight for victory and carry the flag of Comrat State University high.
