On December 6, 2024, a delegation from the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports visited Comrat State University. This meeting marked an important step in the development of international cooperation in the fields of education and sports. During the meeting, a mutual cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities. This document opens new prospects for joint work in several key areas, including:
- Organizing friendly matches in sports such as national wrestling, judo, and belt wrestling. This will strengthen sports traditions and promote these types of sports among young people.
- Admitting graduates of Comrat State University to the master's programs at the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports. This step supports academic mobility and enhances the qualifications of young professionals.
- Sending faculty members for professional development. This will facilitate the exchange of experience and improve the quality of educational processes at both universities.
The signing of the agreement was the result of fruitful negotiations between representatives of the two universities. Shukurjon Gaziev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports, and George Korobeinikov, Advisor to the Rector on Sports Affairs, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in strengthening international ties and developing educational and sports programs.
The Rector of Comrat State University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serghei Zaharia, noted: “The signing of the cooperation agreement between Comrat State University and the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports is a significant event for our university. This cooperation opens new opportunities for us in developing academic mobility, improving educational programs, and strengthening sports traditions. We are confident that joint projects and the exchange of experience will form the basis for long-term and fruitful relations between our institutions.”
Cooperation between the universities will not only enable the implementation of joint projects but also strengthen friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Moldova, contributing to the further development of education, science, and sports in both countries.
