A silver medal and three bronze medals in the record of the representative team of Comrat State University at the National Universiade in judo.

In accordance with the plan approved by the Federation of Student Sports and Veterans of the Republic of Moldova, the student-athlete team of Comrat State University (CSU) was trained to participate in the National Universiade in Judo. On April 15, 2025, a working meeting took place between the CSU judo team and the Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia.
During the meeting, the participation of the team in the Universiade was discussed, and the Rector expressed his wishes for successful performances and easy fights. To ensure comfortable conditions, the athletes were provided with meals and transportation support. Under the guidance of Dr. Angela Polevaia-Secăreanu, Associate Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and International Master of Sports, from the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of National Culture, CSU student-athletes participated in the National Universiade of the Republic of Moldova in Judo, held on April 16, 2025, at the Sports Complex of the State University of Physical Education and Sports. Representatives from five higher education institutions of the country took part in the competition.

In the individual ranking, CSU students won one silver and three bronze medals:
• Silver medal (2nd place) — Vadim Cavalji, weight category up to 90 kg, second-year student of the Faculty of Law, group J-23.
• Bronze medal (3rd place) — Nicolae Chel, weight category up to 60 kg, first-year student of the Faculty of National Culture, group PM-24.
• Bronze medal (3rd place) — Nicolae Stefoglo, weight category up to 66 kg, second-year student of the Faculty of Law, group J-23.
• Bronze medal (3rd place) — Grigore Cevdar, weight category up to 81 kg, second-year student of the Faculty of Law, group J-23.

In the team ranking, the CSU team took an honorable 4th place, and the other members of the team also performed well. On behalf of the CSU judo team, we express our sincere gratitude to the Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof., PhD Serghei Zaharia, and to the Dean of the Faculty of National Culture, Assoc. Prof., PhD Oxana Сurteva, for their comprehensive support in preparing and participating in the National Universiade. This support contributed to raising the team’s morale and ensured a successful representation of the university at the competition. Each team member strove to contribute to the team’s overall result, which led to the overall success. The administration of Comrat State University sincerely congratulates all student-athletes on their well-deserved achievements and wishes them to maintain confidence in their abilities, to bravely face new challenges, and to persistently strive for new accomplishments both in sports and academic life. Diligence and hard work always lead to high results and open wide perspectives for professional and personal development.
