On June 13, 2025, Vasilii Peiu, a student of group IM-23 from the Department of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Physics, took part in the launch event of the “EcoTech – IT Solutions for a Clean Environment” project — a national student competition aimed at promoting digital innovations with a positive impact on environmental protection.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment in partnership with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), with the direct involvement of the ASEM IT4BA Innovation Incubator. During the event, participating teams and mentors from leading IT companies were introduced. The project’s goals, objectives, and next steps were also presented.

Throughout the summer and early autumn, the selected teams will work on the development of digital solutions. Mentors from top IT companies — including Endava, AROBS Software, Moonshot International, Est Computer, InfoEra, Software Mind, Trimetrica, Orange Systems, and Dron Assistance — will provide the necessary technical and strategic support.

The final stage of the competition is scheduled for October, when teams will present their prototypes and innovative IT solutions. The best projects will be awarded and promoted at the national level. The competition aims to become a true catalyst for cooperation between education, environmental protection, and technology.
